iD
'On a stark, wingless stage, iD's restless energy captures the colourful, knife-edge drama of 21st century London youth culture.' - Tara Paulsson, Resolution 2009
iD maps graffiti through the body via explosive movement and raw sound.
iD is a contemporary dance piece that fuses explosive movement with eclectic/raw sound and experimental fashion to form an energy driven, physical and abstract interpretation of graffiti found in East London. It incorporates the art and philosophy of graffiti along with the sound of the urban city to take the audience on a visual experience of graffiti through the eyes of contemporary dance. The dancers mark the graffiti identities in the space, walk on walls and play a game of how many identities one can mark in the space at a time.
