Family Portrait is a new work directed by Leila McMillan and created in collaboration with 7 dancers, a musician/composer and a team of designers. Developed using Flying Low and Passing Through techniques, this work takes you through a constellation of portraits, exploring our heritages and whom we consider our ‘family’.
Paolo Fiorentini and Leila McMillan have been working in collaboration since 2012. They’re investigating how to bring together visual art and dance to share the same space. Their collaboration can be seen through photography, video and performance. So far they’ve presented their collaboration at the Movement in Stillness exhbition at Muxima (2013) and Bow Arts Open Studios (2013).
